FLEAS, TICKS, LICE, MITES & HEARTWORMS
I am very lucky because in Big Bear we do not have fleas & ticks as too dry to reproduce. However, I know that most puppies will end up in places with lots of fleas or ticks, especially during the hot summer days.
Protect your puppies as fleas can spread like wildfire, and ticks carry dangerous diseases.
Ask your vet about heartworm: is that a concern where you live?
Here is a list to take very seriously. Ideally, the green natural recommendations on my list could work, but sometimes you are in an infested area. No matter what, do not choose anything red on my list; some did, and their puppies ended up with seizures (thank god after discontinuing it stopped).
If you live in a bad area and nothing works, my advice is for you to use REVOLT (same as revolution, but cheaper). You will need a prescription from your vet, who probably will turn blue in the face and tell you that I am wrong, and that you should use Bravecto or Nexgard--do not give in. The other advantage of REVOLT is that it does fleas, ticks, heartworm, and even mites. It's an old product that existed when I was young. Sure, it's a pesticide, and yes I would prefer natural, but if you have no choice, pick this one as safer than most.
